Hum Bekhudi Mein – Kalapani (1958)
July 10, 2009
This is one of my most favorite all time oldies. Picturised on Dev Anand (I admit, I am a HUGE fan is Dev Anand), sung by Mohd. Rafi (all time fav singer) and music by S.D. Burman (Bow to the Super-King!)
Dev Anand’s expressions and the way he lip-sync’s the song … there is no actor who can do that today. And such amazing words … it really seems like words don’t come out of the mind … but it is born in the hearts of every person who wants to beckon the very soul and his eternity!!
Wow …
Watch and listen to experience the trance I’ve gone into …
Lyrics -
hum ummm hm hm hm hm aa aa aa chale gaye
hum bekhudi mein tum ko pukaare chale gaye
hum..
hum bekhudi mein tum ko pukaare chale gaye
saagar mein zindagi ko utaare chale gaye
hum..
dekha ki yeh tumhe hum banke deewana (2)
utara ho nasha to hum ne yeh jaana
saare woh zindagi ke sahaare chale gaye
hum bekhudi mein tum ko pukaare chale gaye
hum..
tum to na kaho hum khud hi se khele (2)
doobe nahin humi yoon nashe mein akele
sheeshe mein aap ko bhi utaare chale gaye
hum bekhudi mein tum ko pukaare chale gaye
saagar mein zindagi ko utaare chale gaye
hum..
ENjoy

“Ehsaan tera hoga mujhpar” is my favourite Rafi song the other ones being “Deewna huya badal” and “Pukarta chala hu mein”.
Ageless wonders!
