Seven Blunders of the World

We have been all talking about the new seven wonders of the world. It’s really great that Taj Mahal has retained its position as one of the seven wonders. But have you at all thought, what’s the use of just seven wonders when you actually have more than that?

What about the natural wonders… the ones not made by man?

What about those 7 blunders that is always made and implimented by men?

Mahatma Gandhi, in one of his letters to his son, Arun Gandhi, elaborated about the 7 blunders that a man could perform in life…

let’s see them…

  • Wealth without work
  • Pleasure without conscience
  • Knowledge without character
  • Commerce without morality
  • Science without humanity
  • Worship without sacrifice
  • Politics without principle

If we see them closely and think about them, we will see that we have performed at least one of them at least once in life…

To make this planet a better place to live in and more beautiful, we don’t need to publicise what our ancestors have done… we need to look inside ourselves and try to make ourselves as beautiful as these wonders 😀

I got a comment today where a somebody called pmsr18 has given a very interesting link to the teachings of Gandhiji … Gitananda: Gandhi’s Seven Social Sins

Do check it out 🙂
