Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk
“Kiss me … Close your eyes
Miss me … Close your eyes
I can wet your lips on your fingertips
Happ(pp)iness in your eyes
Kiss me … Close your eyes”
It is most probably the most successful ad campaigns after Zuzus and the dog of Vodafone / Hutch.
Personally, the ad used to make me wonder, can you really eat chocolate like this –
I got my answer yesterday. I got to have cadbury silk for the first time yesterday and I enjoyed it as much. It is creamy. It is smooth. It melts easily and you have to spoon it with your finger to get that real enjoyment that you see in the picture and the videos I’ve posted here.
But there are downsides too …
- The taste is not as rich and enticing as the normal Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate. Silk is good, no doubt, but the feeling that it generates inside your mouth specially the backside of your tongue and the upper part of your mouth which just stops you from saying or doing anything and all you want to do is indulge into the sensation … that is not as strong as it is in Dairy Milk normal.
- While researching a little on Cadbury Silk, I found a consumer court issue. A man named Aditya Saraogi wrote this on http://www.consumercourt.in/
I had written to Cadbury india also at firstname.lastname@example.org . The recent launch of premium range chocolates from cadburys called “Silk” in india has a problem. The printed foil used to wrap the chocolate bar in has transferrable ink on it which would not be edible. I think this is a significant health risk to the customers of cadbury.
I have not received any response yet in this regard
Cadbury India should look into this so that this product can become perfect and people would not think even twice before buying or gifting this Rs. 49/- product.
Saying that, I must also say that this doesn’t mean that Cadbury Silk isn’t special. For me chocolate is always special, desired and pleasurable, in whatever form it is. A bar which melts right in front of you and covers your fingers and you lick and slurp all the way to the foil’s corner is definitely applaudable.
Again, this is absolutely my opinion. Please try and be civil while bashing me up. :)
